DAY 2: HOKKAIDO
(DINNER)

Arrive at Chitose Airport. Meet with tour guide and transfer to the hotel.

DAY 3: CHITOSE – ASAHIKAWA – SOUNKYO
(BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

Today we shall visit the Asahikawa Ice Museum & marvel at the beauty & mystery of snow, enjoy ice with themes for all the types of displays & projections throughout the museum. We proceed to visit the Asahiyama Zoo that has been the one of the most visited zoos in Japan since it’s opening. Visitors can view polar bears, penguins, orangutan and seals. This is definitely an eye-opener for animal lovers. Later we proceed to the magnificent Sounkyo Gorge / Waterfall, renowned for its grandeur. Its attractions include the Supernova Waterfall and the Comet Waterfall, known as Ryusei No Taki & Ginga No taki. Tonight we shall enjoy a delicious Hokkaido seafood dinner and enjoy a hot spring bath.

DAY 4: SOUNKYO – OTARU – GLASS FACTORY– MUSIC BOX– SAPPORO
(BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)

Today's highlight is Otaru, which is a traditional fishing village as well as a fishing hub. Its architecture style is a combination of 19th century Western & Japanese influence, it also exhumes. Be mesmerized akin to a foreign town. We shall visit the Sakaimachi Kitaichi Garasukan that is most famous for their souvenir glass art in Otaru and the Music Box Museum that is one of the largest museum shops of music boxes, orgel, in Japan. The beautiful century-old building, designated as one of historic landmarks of Otaru City, is full of music boxes in various sizes and types. We shall proceed to Odori Park that is the city's most famous park in the very center of downtown Sapporo. We will visit Sapporo Clock Tower that is a symbol of Sapporo. In 1881 a clock purchased from Boston was installed. Today, the Clock Tower serves as a museum with displays about the building's history and Sapporo on the first floor. On the second floor are displays about the clock and a spacious ceremony hall that calls to mind the simple buildings of the colonial American Midwest. We will visit Beer Factory.

DAY 5: SAPPORO -NOBORIBESTU HELL VALLEY -Mt.SHOWA -LAKE TOYA
(BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)


The Okurayama Viewing Point is one of Sapporo's most famous sightseeing spots and the venue for the 1972 Winter Olympics. Our Highlight today is Noboribetsu Hell Valley that marvels at the dream-like smoky ashes surrounding the valley. As you walk around you will be mesmerized by its mythical atmosphere. Thereafter we shall proceed to the exciting Ainu Village. You shall be greeted by the natives of Hokkaido, the Ainu tribe, in the manner of an insightful Ainu performance. Be mesmerized by Mt. Showa, formed after an earthquake in 1944; it emerged from the ground & having experienced several other earthquakes, it is now what is known as an active volcano standing 407 feet. Next we shall proceed to Lake Toya which is part of the Shikotsu-Toya national Park. In addition to the lake itself, the Toyako region features hot springs that is famous throughout Japan and an active volcano, Mount Usu, which last erupted in the year 2000. The area also offers many fishing, hiking and camping opportunities. Enjoy a relaxing hot spring bath tonight.
